Metropolitan Lutheran Ministry

Metropolitan Lutheran Ministry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has served the Kansas City metropolitan area since 1971, with locations in Kansas City, Kansas (Wyandotte County) and Kansas City, Missouri (Jackson and Clay Counties). The organization helps families and individuals break the cycle of poverty by providing food security, housing assistance, employment services, healthcare access, and education support. Founded by Lutheran church congregations to address urban poverty, MLM has pioneered numerous community programs and currently partners with 48 ELCA and LCMS Lutheran churches to serve area residents who are poor, elderly, or disabled.
