Algiers Point Free Lil Pantry
About
Algiers Point Free Lil Pantry is a nonprofit community food resource in New Orleans that operates an outdoor pantry on the Opelousas Avenue community garden based on the "take what you need, leave what you can" model. Founded in 2017 by Becky Hicks and James Hunt, the pantry stocks food, diapers, and personal care products to address food insecurity, drawing inspiration from the Little Free Library concept and operating as part of the broader mini pantry movement for grassroots community support.
