Mildred’s Food Pantry at St Mary’s Church

Mildred's Food Pantry at St. Mary of the Visitation Church in Houlton serves low-income families and community members facing food insecurity by providing nutritious groceries and emergency food assistance. Operating for nearly 30 years, the pantry was named in honor of longtime volunteer and manager Mildred Madigan, embodying a mission of compassion where food assistance is provided without judgment or prerequisites based on religion or personal circumstances. The pantry is supported by donations from individuals, businesses, churches, and local farms, with dedicated volunteers who contribute hundreds of hours annually to serve their neighbors in need.
