Ecumenical Food Pantry

The Ecumenical Food Pantry has served families, seniors, and individuals facing food insecurity in Newcastle, Maine since 1989, and operates as a volunteer-staffed 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Founded by Ruth Ives and Gail Berry with support from local churches, the pantry provides free groceries and other food assistance to residents in Lincoln County, with additional support through its Help Desk for benefit applications and community resources. The organization's mission centers on reducing food insecurity while maintaining dignity for those experiencing financial hardship.
