Sacred Heart / St. Dominic Food Pantry

Sacred Heart/St. Dominic Food Pantry, operated by the Portland Peninsula and Island Parishes, serves low-income individuals and families in Portland, Maine by providing nutritious food to those who lack reliable access to affordable groceries. The food pantry addresses hunger among residents in Portland's densely populated Parkside neighborhood, which includes a diverse community of working-class families, immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers from sub-Saharan Africa and Central America. This community-based program is open to all Portland residents regardless of faith background and operates as a mission-driven food assistance service.
