United Methodist Economic Ministry Food Bank

United Methodist Economic Ministry Food Bank is a mission of the United Methodist Church serving residents of Franklin County in western Maine. Founded in 1969 to address rural poverty in northern Appalachia, the organization provides food assistance through its food pantry and operates a thrift shop to serve the local community. The organization serves residents from Strong, Kingfield, Salem, Freeman Township, and surrounding areas, offering free food to low-income families, seniors, disabled veterans, the unemployed, and anyone in need.
