Maryland Food Bank Eastern Shore Salisbury

The Maryland Food Bank is a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger in Maryland. Established in 1979, the organization opened its Eastern Shore Branch in Salisbury in 1981 to better serve rural populations across eight counties including Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico, and Worcester. In its first year, the branch distributed approximately 33,000 meals; by FY25, it distributed more than 5.5 million meals to food-insecure Marylanders through a network of 140 community partners and 34 school pantry sites.
