Baltimore Hunger Project – Timonium

Baltimore Hunger Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating weekend childhood hunger by providing food packages to food-insecure children across 66 schools in Baltimore City and County. Founded in November 2014 by Lynne B. Kahn, the organization has grown from serving 30 children in two schools to supporting more than 2,600 students, delivering weekend meals that bridge the gap when school meal programs are not available. Based in Timonium, Baltimore Hunger Project relies heavily on volunteers and community partnerships to pack and distribute nutritious food bags directly to children's backpacks.
