Saint Monica’s Food Pantry
About
St. Monica's Food Pantry is a faith-based food security ministry operated by St. Monica Parish in South Boston that provides weekly groceries to South Boston individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. The pantry serves approximately 250 to 300 people and families each week, sourcing ninety percent of its food from the Greater Boston Food Bank and offering items including fresh produce, canned goods, pasta, rice, bread, and dairy products. As part of the South Boston Seaport Catholic Collaborative, the pantry is supported by a dedicated Food Pantry Team and Good Samaritan Ministry, and also prepares special gift bags for children of recipients during Christmas and Easter.
