Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen and Pantry Meeting House

For over 40 years, Lorraine's Soup Kitchen & Pantry has served the Chicopee community as a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing food insecurity. The organization provides both hot meal service and emergency take-home food supplies, assisting more than 1,500 families annually while serving thousands of meals, along with offering a free monthly health clinic and social services. Founded in 1980 as Chicopee Emergency Food & Fuel, the soup kitchen was added in 1990 and renamed to honor Lorraine Houle, its first director.
