Bread of Life (Malden)

Bread of Life is a nonprofit, nondenominational, faith-based food security organization located at 54 Eastern Avenue in Malden, MA that has served the North metro Boston area since its founding in 1980. The organization distributes over 1.5 million pounds of free food annually through multiple programs including a food mart, food pantries, grocery delivery to seniors, meal delivery to homeless households, and school nutrition backpacks, serving economically struggling residents of Malden and surrounding communities. Bread of Life operates with over 500 volunteers and works with dozens of partner organizations to address food insecurity while also providing interpreting, translation, and referral services to help overcome barriers faced by lower-income communities.
