Island Food Pantry
About
Island Food Pantry is a nonprofit food pantry serving Martha's Vineyard residents in need of food assistance, providing fresh produce, prepared meals, proteins, dairy, and pantry staples with an emphasis on locally grown food. The pantry, which began more than 40 years ago when a Vineyard pastor stocked a church closet with grocery staples, relocated to its permanent home in Oak Bluffs in 2024, expanding its capacity with improved storage and logistics. Island Food Pantry is operated by Island Grown Initiative and welcomes anyone who is unable to afford groceries, including those receiving benefits like MassHealth, SNAP, or Fuel Assistance.
