About

Food Hub at the Mercado, founded in 2014, is a client-choice food pantry located in Mexicantown in Southwest Detroit that addresses food insecurity by providing families with access to fresh food, service referrals, and advocacy for basic needs. Operated by Gleaners Community Food Bank, the hub serves hundreds of families weekly through its Fresh Market Pantry program and relies heavily on volunteers to support its mission in the community.
