Food Bank of Eastern Michigan

The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1981 that serves as a common solicitor, storehouse, and distributor of food in 22 Eastern Michigan counties. Working with more than 700 hunger relief partners, the organization distributes nearly 38 million pounds of food annually to reach over 200,000 food-insecure individuals, with an emphasis on nutritious items like fresh produce, dairy, and meat. The Food Bank also operates the Hunger Solution Center's production kitchen, provides weekend food backpacks to children, and delivers senior boxes throughout the region.
