Baxter Community Center – Marketplace Food & Clothing Pantry

Baxter Community Center’s Marketplace Food & Clothing Pantry is a nonprofit organization that provides emergency food and clothing assistance to residents of Grand Rapids, MI at no cost. Founded in 1969 in response to social injustice and unmet community needs, the organization operates as a neighborhood hub offering food pantry services, clothing distribution, fresh produce from its on-site greenhouse, and complementary programs including a child development center and holistic health center. The Marketplace serves the Grand Rapids community with cupboard staples, fresh fruits and vegetables, and weather-appropriate clothing and shoes, while also offering educational classes and supporting neighbors’ long-term self-sufficiency.
