Northwest Food Pantry
About
Northwest Food Pantry was founded in 1990 by a group of deacons from local churches to address food insecurity on the northwest side of Grand Rapids. Located at 1224 Davis Avenue Northwest, this faith-based nonprofit provides emergency food and personal care items to qualifying residents within their service boundaries, operating as a grocery-store-style pantry that allows clients to maintain dignity while selecting items for their families. The organization has grown significantly since its establishment, now serving an average of 140 families per week and functioning as a fully independent nonprofit organization since 2010.
