Habitat For Humanity

Northwoods Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization located at 1357 Exchange Avenue SE in Bemidji, Minnesota, dedicated to building and improving affordable homes in partnership with families in need in Beltrami and Clearwater Counties. Founded in 1990 as an ecumenical Christian ministry, the organization works to eliminate poverty housing by partnering with individuals and families who contribute “sweat equity” hours as part of their homeownership journey. In addition to home construction, Northwoods Habitat operates a ReStore, a nonprofit home improvement store that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, and building materials at discounted prices, with proceeds supporting community home-building efforts.
