Hope for the Community Food Shelf – Food Distribution Center

Hope for the Community is a 501c3 nonprofit humanitarian organization located at 1264 109th Avenue NE in Blaine, Minnesota, that provides free emergency food distribution to families and individuals in need. Founded in 2010 by Dr. Alan Goracke, the organization has grown to serve approximately 1,800 families per week across nine Twin Cities locations and is recognized as Minnesota’s fourth largest food shelf. Operating with 130 volunteers and fueled by community donations, Hope for the Community distributes food boxes at multiple convenient locations including their main Blaine facility, with distribution typically available on Thursdays, and has expanded to serve communities throughout the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota areas.
