Salvation Army

The Brainerd Lakes Salvation Army serves the local community from two locations: a worship and service center at 208 S. Fifth St. and a Family Store at 609 Norwood St. in Brainerd, MN. The organization provides assistance with basic needs including food shelf services, emergency and transitional housing, and operates a thrift store where proceeds fund community programs. Led by Captains Jeff and Joyce Curran, the nonprofit operates on a mission of faith in action, meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs while preserving individual dignity.
