Prairie Five Community Action

Prairie Five Community Action Council is a nonprofit community action agency headquartered in Canby, MN that serves five counties—Big Stone, Chippewa, Lac qui Parle, Swift, and Yellow Medicine. The organization provides comprehensive services to low-income individuals and families, including food shelves, transportation through the Prairie Five RIDES program, emergency assistance, fuel assistance, medical equipment loan closets, clothing centers, and child care resources. With offices in multiple communities and a commitment to volunteer involvement, Prairie Five works to promote healthy, independent living and address housing insecurity, energy needs, and social isolation throughout its service region.
