SACA Food Shelf & Thrift Store (Southern Anoka Community Assistance)

Founded in 1976, Southern Anoka Community Assistance (SACA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit food shelf and thrift store located in Columbia Heights, Minnesota, serving communities including Fridley, Hilltop, Spring Lake Park, and Northeast Minneapolis. The organization provides food security, emergency assistance, and basic needs services through programs including a client-choice food market, volunteer-run thrift store, mobile food program, and grocery delivery for seniors and people with disabilities. SACA’s thrift store, which reopened to the public in 2024, operates entirely through volunteer efforts with all proceeds supporting the organization’s mission to empower dignity and independence in the community.
