Delano Helping Hands Food Shelf

Delano Helping Hands Food Shelf is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to eliminating food insecurity in Delano and surrounding communities. Operating since at least the 1990s, the food shelf provides nutritious items including fresh produce, frozen meats, eggs, cheese, and shelf-stable goods to individuals and families in need, serving approximately 45 families monthly. Located at 221 2nd Street North in Delano, the organization is a Certified SuperShelf and operates by appointment on Thursdays from 2:00-4:00 p.m., with extended hours on the third Thursday of each month until 7:00 p.m., also offering delivery services to homebound residents within Delano.
