Chum Center

Churches United in Ministry (CHUM) Center, a nonprofit organization located at 102 West 2nd Street in Duluth, Minnesota, serves as the primary safety net for people experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty in the community. The Center operates an emergency shelter with 70 individual beds and six family apartments, a drop-in day shelter open seven days a week from 9 AM to 6 PM, and Duluth’s largest food shelf that distributes over 500,000 pounds of food annually. Beyond shelter and food assistance, CHUM provides healthcare services, housing navigation, employment support, and street outreach programs that serve approximately 150-200 chronically homeless individuals per year.
