The Open Door

The Open Door is a nonprofit hunger relief organization dedicated to ending food insecurity in Dakota County, Minnesota. Located in Eagan with a distribution center at 3000 Ames Crossing Road, it serves more than 14,000 Dakota County residents monthly through innovative programs including a fixed-site food pantry, Mobile Food sites, and the Mobile Lunchbox program that delivers meals to schoolchildren during summer months. As the largest food shelf in Dakota County, The Open Door provides fresh and healthy food options at 70 different sites across the county and distributes approximately 3 million pounds of food annually.
