Plainview-Elgin Area Food Shelf – Food Distribution Center

The Plainview-Elgin Area Food Shelf is a nonprofit food distribution center located in Elgin, Minnesota that serves low-income families, seniors, unemployed individuals, disabled veterans, and others in need of emergency food assistance. Operating with a volunteer staff supervised by a Director and Assistant Director, the organization provides grocery items and basic necessities to community members while also offering an annual winter outerwear distribution in the fall. The food shelf is open Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and works with Hunger Solutions Minnesota to address food insecurity in the region.
