CAER Food Shelf

CAER Food Shelf, located at 12621 Elk Lake Road in Elk River, Minnesota, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 1979 by 13 area churches to provide food assistance to residents of Elk River, Otsego, and Zimmerman. The organization operates a grocery store-style food shelf where clients select their own nutritious food items and also offers additional community resources including school supplies, winter gear, and assistance with utilities and housing. Supported by churches, schools, businesses, and volunteers, CAER has become a cornerstone community organization dedicated to eliminating hunger and food insecurity in the region.
