Houston Community Food Shelf – Food Distribution Center

Houston Community Food Shelf is a volunteer-run nonprofit food distribution center located at 118 S Lincoln St in Houston, MN, dedicated to providing food assistance to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in Houston County. Operating with donated groceries including fresh and packaged foods, the organization offers walk-in services on Thursday afternoons from 2:30pm to 5:30pm with no appointment necessary, serving clients with low incomes at no cost. The food shelf has worked with Channel One Regional Food Bank and the University of Minnesota’s Food System Transformation project to enhance its operations and expand food access to the community.
