Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society (BENCHS)

The Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society (BENCHS) is a local, independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 1969 and located at 1250 North River Drive in Mankato, Minnesota. The organization operates as a no-kill shelter dedicated to rescuing and rehoming homeless, abandoned, and abused cats and dogs while providing spay/neuter programs to reduce pet overpopulation. Beyond shelter operations, BENCHS serves the community through several programs including a Food Share program that provides free pet food to families in financial hardship, an Outreach Clinic offering low-cost spay/neuter surgeries to area rescue organizations, and the official animal impound services for Mankato, North Mankato, and Madison Lake.
