Maple River Loaves & Fishes – Food Distribution Center

Maple River Loaves & Fishes Food Shelf is a nonprofit food distribution center in Mapleton, Minnesota, founded in 2015, that provides supplemental food assistance to people in need living, working, or having children in the Maple River School District. The organization serves all community members, including low-income families, seniors, veterans, and the working poor, distributing hundreds of thousands of pounds of food annually to thousands of individuals. Staffed entirely by volunteers from nine local churches, the food shelf operates from St. John’s Lutheran Church and maintains strong community ties throughout the Mapleton, Good Thunder, Amboy, and Minnesota Lake area.
