Al-Maa’unn Food Shelf – Food Distribution Center

Al-Maa’unn is a nonprofit food distribution center and community service organization located at 1729 Lyndale Avenue North in Minneapolis, serving the North Minneapolis community. Founded in 1996, Al-Maa’unn—meaning “the Neighborly Needs”—provides food assistance, affordable housing support, workforce development, and peer mentorship programs, operating on the principle that neighbors helping neighbors creates community change. The organization is inspired by Islamic teachings and housed at Masjid An-Nur (Mosque of the Light), offering food distribution on the third Saturday of each month, home delivery services for eligible residents, and additional community programs including meal services and youth support initiatives.
