Brian Coyle Neighborhood Center | Pillsbury United Communities
About
The Brian Coyle Center, part of the nonprofit Pillsbury United Communities, opened in 1993 in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood and is one of Minneapolis’s busiest social service centers. The center provides free comprehensive services including legal assistance, youth programs, English classes, food shelf services, and childcare to support immigrant and low-income communities. Named after Minneapolis City Council member Brian Coyle, an advocate for affordable housing and civil rights, the center has become a vital community hub serving rapidly changing immigrant populations, particularly East African and Somali communities.
