Community Emergency Service

Community Emergency Service (CES) is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit hunger relief organization founded in 1971 by Pastor William Berg that operates the largest Meals on Wheels program in Minnesota. Located at 1900 11th Avenue South in one of Minneapolis’s most ethnically diverse neighborhoods, CES runs multiple food assistance programs including a food shelf, Meals on Wheels, food home delivery for homebound individuals and seniors, and Animeals for pet owners. The organization serves over 360 people daily and is committed to empowering community members through emergency aid in food, housing, transportation, and utilities while welcoming volunteers and donors to support their mission of transforming lives with dignity and compassion.
