Good in the ‘Hood

Founded in 2003, Good in the ‘Hood is a Minneapolis-based nonprofit dedicated to initiating focused acts of kindness and community transformation through food assistance, emergency support, and social enterprise programs. Operating across the Twin Cities metropolitan area, the organization provides monthly meals and groceries to over 9,500 people, operates client-choice food pantries, and runs innovative programs like “Shoe Away Hunger” and assistance for youth experiencing homelessness. Committed to serving those with the greatest need in urban communities, Good in the ‘Hood combines service-learning opportunities with kindness-based initiatives to inspire neighborhood decency and personal transformation.
