Labor Retreat Apartments – High Rise Mobile Food Shelf

The High Rise Mobile Food Shelf, operated by East Side Neighborhood Services, brings fresh food directly to 52 low-income apartment buildings across Hennepin County, including Labor Retreat Apartments. The program serves over 3,800 participants, primarily older adults and people with disabilities, delivering nutritious food with over 40% being fresh fruits and vegetables, along with meat, eggs, bread, and dairy products. Community members in each building volunteer to help distribute the food to their neighbors.
