Riverview Apartments – High Rise Mobile Food Shelf

The High Rise Mobile Food Shelf, operated by East Side Neighborhood Services, brings fresh food directly to 52 low-income apartment buildings across Hennepin County, including Riverview Apartments. The program serves over 3,800 participants, primarily older adults and people with disabilities, delivering fresh produce, meat, eggs, dairy products, and other nutritious items. Built on a client-choice shopping model where residents can select their own food in community rooms, the High Rise Mobile Food Shelf also fosters community involvement with local volunteers helping to coordinate distributions and even preparing shared meals from available food.
