Sabathani Food Shelf – Food Distribution Center

Sabathani Community Center’s Food Distribution Center has served South Minneapolis residents since 1975, operating as a participant-choice food distribution model that distributes approximately 47,000 pounds of food monthly. Located at 310 East 38th Street in Minneapolis, the nonprofit center provides culturally specific food options, fresh produce, protein, hygiene items, and baby items to community members in need, while also offering additional support services including a clothing closet, youth programs, senior activities, and employment resources. Operating Monday through Thursday by appointment, the Food Distribution Center stands as one of the region’s largest food distribution programs, serving thousands annually.
