About

The St. Louis Park Emergency Program (STEP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit food shelf established in 1975 that serves residents of St. Louis Park with emergency food assistance, clothing, and social services. Located at 6812 W Lake St in Minneapolis, STEP provides nutritious groceries including fresh produce, dairy, protein, and culturally relevant items such as kosher and halal foods to individuals and families facing food insecurity. The organization operates with both professional social workers and volunteers who deliver confidential services, offering clients food twice monthly through in-person appointments and curbside pickups while also providing additional support services including housing assistance, rent help, and access to community resources.
