The Food Group

The Food Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in New Hope, Minnesota, with additional offices in Minneapolis and St. Paul, dedicated to fighting hunger and advancing food justice across Minnesota. For 50 years, the organization has operated as a comprehensive food system provider, distributing fresh, quality foods through networks of over 200 hunger relief partners, while also operating affordable grocery programs like Fare For All and Twin Cities Mobile Market, managing a 150-acre organic farm for farmer education at Big River Farms, and providing culturally connected foods to communities of color. The Food Group is recognized as a pioneer in Minnesota’s food banking sector, being the first food bank to prioritize fresh produce, culturally specific foods, and a holistic approach to hunger relief that addresses systemic food inequity.
