The Food Group

Established in 1976, The Food Group is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger and promoting food equity across Minnesota. Operating as a regional food bank with more than 500 partner organizations, The Food Group collects, warehouses, and distributes nutritious food while operating multiple community initiatives including the Minnesota Food HelpLine, Minnesota Food Shelf Program, Market Bucks Program, and the Twin Cities Mobile Market. The organization works across the entire food system—from sustainable agriculture and farmer education at Big River Farms to direct food distribution—to make healthy, affordable, and culturally relevant food accessible to people across 30+ counties in Minnesota.
