St. Dominic Catholic Church

St. Dominic Catholic Church has served the Catholic community in Northfield, Minnesota since its founding in 1858, when the first Mass was held in a private home, with the first church building dedicated in 1869. The parish operates as a Catholic religious organization within the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, offering regular Mass services in English and Spanish at its modern church building, completed in 1986, which seats 950 and includes a social hall and other community spaces. The church has also historically operated St. Dominic School, which was established in 1927 and served parishioners for decades.
