Pine River Area Food Shelf

The Pine River Area Food Shelf, operated by the Pine River-Backus Family Center, provides food assistance to individuals and families in Pine River and Cass and Crow Wing counties. The food shelf operates as a self-shopping program and recently underwent significant renovations completed in January 2025, including improvements to accessibility, flooring, and shelving funded by grants from the Minnesota Department of Human Services Office of Economic Opportunity.
