Pine River Food Shelf – Food Distribution Center

Pine River Area Food Shelf, operated as part of the Pine River-Backus Family Center, is a community food distribution center serving residents of Pine River, Cass, and Crow Wing counties. Operating from 245 Barclay Avenue in Pine River, the food shelf provides free emergency food assistance through a self-shopping model and partners with local farmers to offer fresh, locally-grown produce, eggs, and other nutritious items. The organization has received recognition through SuperShelf and Farm to Food Security grants, and actively engages community volunteers to support twice-weekly food distribution operations.
