Dorothy Day Hospitality House

The Dorothy Day Hospitality House is a temporary homeless shelter located in downtown Rochester, Minnesota, at 703 1st St SW, that has served the community since 1984. Operating as an all-volunteer nonprofit organization affiliated with the Catholic Worker Movement, the shelter provides food, clothing, shelter, and basic necessities to adults 18 and older, with limited capacity for families, offering 23 beds on a first-come, first-served basis. Open daily from 4 p.m. to 9 a.m. year-round, the house serves dinner each evening and provides laundry facilities, breakfast, coffee, and snacks, while being conveniently located within walking distance of Mayo Clinic and community resources.
