Franciscan Brothers of Peace

The Franciscan Brothers of Peace is a Catholic religious community founded in 1982 and formally recognized as a public association of the faithful in 1994, making it the first community of religious brothers established in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Located at Queen of Peace Friary (1289 Lafond Ave, Saint Paul, MN) in the Midway neighborhood, the brothers live by vows of poverty, celibacy, and obedience while engaging in active service including operating a food shelf, serving refugees and torture victims, and supporting pro-life ministries. Currently composed of nine members, they work to rebuild the dignity of human life through works of mercy under the guidance of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.
