About
The Gabbert Raptor Center, located at 1920 Fitch Avenue in Saint Paul, is a nonprofit facility affiliated with the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine dedicated to raptor rehabilitation, research, and education. Founded in 1974 as the Raptor Research and Rehabilitation Center and renamed in 1988 to honor donors Don and Louise Gabbert, the center provides medical treatment for injured and sick birds of prey including owls, eagles, hawks, and falcons while offering public tours, educational programs, and scientific research initiatives. The center serves the community through clinical rehabilitation services, educational outreach, and professional training programs focused on ensuring the health of wild raptors and their habitats.
