Hallie Q Brown Community Center

The Hallie Q. Brown Community Center is a nonprofit social service agency founded in 1929 to serve Saint Paul’s African American community, with its location at 270 Kent Street in the Summit University neighborhood. Operating as one of Minnesota’s largest African American nonprofit organizations, the center provides comprehensive services including youth and family support, senior care programs, and basic needs assistance, while also housing the nationally acclaimed Penumbra Theatre, the NAACP Saint Paul chapter, and the Martin Luther King Recreation Center.
