Thief River Falls Area Food Shelf

The Thief River Falls Area Food Shelf, established in April 2011, provides emergency food and hygiene items to individuals and families in need across over forty rural towns in Northwest and North Central Minnesota with its mission to "Extinguish Hunger, Ignite Hope." Since acquiring a permanent location in 2017 and becoming a certified SuperShelf in 2019, the organization has expanded its services to include a community garden and now serves thousands of residents annually, including support for the local migrant population employed at the nearby turkey plant.
