MAHUBE-OTWA Community Action Partnership, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving five counties including Wadena, where it maintains its main administrative office. The organization, which originated as Mahube Community Council in 1965 and expanded to its current form in 2012, empowers low-income and elderly residents through programs including energy assistance, homemaking and chore services for seniors, child care support, family resource services, and health clinics. With a mission to fight poverty and advocate for economic self-sufficiency, MAHUBE-OTWA operates with a governing board that includes representation from low-income community members and partners with local health and social service agencies across Mahnomen, Hubbard, Becker, Otter Tail, and Wadena counties.
