Wells Area Food Shelf

Wells Area Food Shelf supplies nutritious food to families in need throughout the Faribault County area, fighting hunger while promoting food and community justice. Founded in 1983, the organization provides free groceries and food support to individuals and families in the community, with each recipient or family receiving between 60 and 100 pounds of nutritious food per visit. The food shelf was recognized in 2025 with the Improving Access to Health Award for its welcoming, multilingual, and health-focused service to area residents.
