Heart of the Hills Food Harvest – Food Distribution Center

Heart of the Hills Food Harvest is a nonprofit food distribution center located at 913 Northwest 3rd Street in Ava, Missouri, serving Douglas County residents in need. Founded in 1994 and operated primarily by about 30 dedicated volunteers, the organization serves more than 300 families monthly, distributing food assistance along with support for rent, insurance, and hygiene items. As Douglas County’s only food pantry, Heart of the Hills has been a vital community resource, partnering with Ozarks Food Harvest since 1991 to provide nutritious foods including fresh produce, dairy, and protein to families and seniors facing food insecurity.
